Kids Company: The Marshmallow Incident

Summer Kids Theater Program, ages 5-8
Two Week Program
Monday-Friday, July 8 to July 19, 9:30am to 11:30am
Performance: Friday, July 19 at 7pm

Make-believe, music, and masks! Animals, superheroes, and princesses! We will explore and learn about theater by playing games, creating our own characters, and bringing them to life in a play based on the hilarious book by Judy and Ron Barrett (authors of 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs') . Every child has magical worlds within them—what will they create today?

The Kids Theater program meets weekdays during two weeks in July from 9:30am - 11:30am. Monday through Friday, July 8-19. Tuition is $215 ($199 members). CLICK HERE TO REGISTER! A performance for family and friends will be scheduled for the last Friday of the program.

Scholarships are available. Please contact Hubbard Hall for an application. Completed scholarship applications must be submitted no later than Friday, June 21 to be considered.

Sylvia Bloom (director) has performed as a cast member in Phantom of the Opera and a member of the San Francisco Opera Chorus. She has a B.M. in voice from Oberlin Conservatory and an M.A. in Expressive Arts Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies. As the current director of Eenie Meenie Music, she offers Music Together® classes for families with young children, and has had the recent pleasure of performing with Hubbard Hall Theater Company in Thrills, Spills, and Lonely Hearts, Two by Albee and Amadeus.

Youth Company: The Hobbit

Summer Youth Theater Program, ages 9 to 14
Three-week Program
Monday-Friday, July 8 to July 26 from 9am to 12:00pm
Performance: Saturday, July 27 at 2pm
Cost: $299 / $285 members. REGISTER ONLINE

This summer theater workshop will emphasize improvisation, including playing games and creating our own characters, dialogue, songs, costumes and set pieces to arrive at an original production of The Hobbit. Join Bilbo Baggins on his quest.

The Youth Theater program meets from 9am - 12 noon, Monday through Friday, July 8 to 26. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER! A performance will take place on Saturday, July 27 at 2pm (tickets will go on sale July 1).
