Kevin
McGuire grew up in the nearby town of Hoosick Falls, NY.
After a long and successful career in Broadway productions, he returned
home to found the theatre program at Hubbard Hall, where he served as Artisic Director for ten years (1999-2009).
He directed A Midsummer Night's Dream, Into the
Woods, Much Ado About Nothing, Saint Joan, The Cherry Orchard, Sunday
in the Park with George, The Heiress, Meet Me in St. Louis, Peter Pan,
Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sweeney Todd, A Man For All Seasons,
Alice in Wonderland, The Seagull, The Lion in Winter, Androcles and the
Lion, Philadelphia, Here I Come!, The Time of Your Life, The Crucible, Henry's
House, The Enchanted, The Secret Garden, The Three Sisters, Private Lives, The Real Thing, Man of LaMancha, and more!.
Kevin played lead roles in the Broadway production of Les Miserables, the Toronto productions of The Phantom of the Opera and Jane Eyre, and the national company of The Secret Garden. Other New York credits include Forbidden Broadway, Big Maggie, Hamlet and The Seagull. He toured for two years with John Houseman's The Acting Company and regionally at Hartford Stage, Arizona Theatre Company, and spent three summers at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. He has sung for Presidents Clinton, Reagan and Ford, and performed his club act in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York City and Cambridge.
Kevin's education includes: St. Mary's Academy, The Hoosac School, the Circle-in-the-Square Theatre at NYU, and the Juilliard School.
