Theater Company artistic director John Hadden shows clips from the Macbeth films of Kurasawa and Polanski, and discusses them in the light of preparations for Hubbard Hall's upcoming production. These are two of the best interpretations of Shakespeare on film--Kurasawa's Throne of Blood is a visually breathtaking depiction of the mystery and savagery of the story, in the film-maker's own cultural style and language. Polanski's Macbeth is a surprisingly astute and original take on it, completely faithful to the time period and original construction of the play.  Discussion and exploration throughout.
