National Dance Week 2010
This will be Hubbard Hall's second season celebrating National Dance Week, April 23-May 2, 2010. The community is invited to participate in Poster and Poetry contests, attend special workshops and film screenings, and be part of informal performances and participatory dance events. If you would like to help plan this year's festivities, call Gina at 518-677-2495 x304
Last year, awards were given to 5 winners of our first annual essay & poster contest, "What Dancing at Hubbard Hall Means to Me." See the winning First Place and Second Place entries here on our website. We are so proud of all our dancers -- you are so well-rounded, articulate and creative!
In 2009 we also marked National Dance Week with an informal dance showing with performances by a cast of more than 25 dancers. Donations at the door helped raise the first $200 toward the purchase of a sound system for our dance studio. Thank you to everyone who participated!
