 Dancing at Hubbard Hall is what I’ve been doing on every Friday night for the past five years. It has a special meaning to me because I have met some fantastic people, whom I now consider friends. I first started Irish Step Dance to improve my soccer footwork. I was in second grade at the time, and my mother suggested dance. At the beginning, I really stunk at dancing and it was painful to watch. But I kept practicing hop-two-threes and continued lessons. Now, I am in the advanced dance classes and moved ahead to hard-shoe. Now, I immensely enjoy dancing. I may not be the Lord of the Dance, but who knows?

 I love to dance; it’s so fun! Whenever I start to dance all of my worries float away like feathers on the wind. Hubbard Hall is a great dance studio; I love the dance teachers. I take hip hop and jazz from my mom, Heidi, and Irish from Darcy. I adore both classes and have been taking them for a long time. Dancing is great exercise and hard. I always like to have another dancing challenge that I can learn. Our spring performance is always very enjoyable. I love to dance in the old opera house because if I close my eyes I can imagine all of the old plays. I imagine them performing Shakespeare on the slanting stage. I never used to know why they said downstage and upstage, but I knew why once I saw the elderly stage. It is the only stage that I have seen that slants; I love to look at the original sets. Also, it is kind of fun to see the graffiti because there is some from the early 1900’s. I know that the graffiti isn’t good but it’s kind of neat to think of the people that had written the messages. I have always danced and I hope that I always will.
